With COVID and everything else going on a lot of people are feeling very pent up. Lots of summer vacations have been canceled and the idea of getting on a cruise or plane is so distant. Our normal life going to indoor places such as the aquarium, zoos, theme parks, malls, and so much more has been put on hold. So what is it a person should do with all this extra time and energy?

Visit The Ocean

Massachusetts is dotted with beaches along its coast line many of which are open and ready for visitors. While many people fear going to the beach we dare you to look for a new spot, a more private spot and try there. One thing we have noticed is that people are all congregating in the usual locations but not opening their mind to the fact that the South Shore has so much to offer. Our beaches range from all rock to full sand and are everywhere public parks to private clubs. No matter the beach for you, on the South Shore it is mere minutes away.

Take a Hike

When was the last time you took a good hike? Did you know in every town there are over a dozen hiking trails right there ready for your adventure? Have you hiked Blue Hills? Have you been to the Myles Standish Monument in Duxbury? Have you visited Wompatuck State Park? How about Ames Nowell? The point is there is so much more nature to submerge yourself in than you think. As an example check out our EVERYTHING DUXBURY GUIDE HERE!

Canoe or Kayak

Did you know there are several locations right here on the South Shore that offers rentals of different water sports and other sports items?  At Billington Sea in Plymouth you will find Billington Sea Kayak where you can rent canoe, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. Some nights they even run sunset tours! Or you can drop by Sportworks in Duxbury and pick up a paddle board rental for Duxbury Beach.

The South Shore is full of fun things to do to get your adventure on. Now is the time to get back to nature and enjoy your life.
